OUR ACADEMY
Welcome to Trojan Horse Chess Academy the ultimate destination for budding chess enthusiansts aged 4 to 16. Our academy is dedicated to fostering a love for the game of chess while providing comprehensive training to players of all skill levels. With a strong emphasis on nurturing young minds, our program combines the excitement of chess with valuable life skills such as critical thinking, strategic planning, and sprtmanship.
Every Saturday from 9 am to 1pm, our expect coaches lead engaging training session that cater to many age groups and proficiency levels. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to take participants on a journey from chess basic toadvanced tactics, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the game. From learning the movement of each piece to mastering intricate openings and endgame strategies, our student develop a strong foundation that will serve them both on and off the chessboard, Moreover, our inclusive and supportive environment encourages camaraderie among participants. Fostering friensdships and a sense of community.
As part of our commitment to providing a dynamic learning experience, we also host super Sunday Online chess tournaments. these tournaments allow our students to test their skills against players from different regions, enhencing their competative spirit and boosting their confidence. The online format ensures the accessibility for all, enabling participants to showcase their strategic powers from the comfort of their homes. Here, at the Trojan Horse Chess Club, we boast of experienced nation instructors in CM Sikhanyiso Sihlongonyane, and William Siame. We welcome players of all agesand skills. If you have never played chess in your life and would like to learn, don’t hesitate to come to come our weekly meetings, and we will happily teach you play. If you have some prior experience and would like to find a challenging opponent, our club is blessed with strong national team players.

OUR BEST PLAYERS
Don’t take our word for it – here’s what our club members have achieved
Candidate Master Sikhanyiso Sihlongonyane is a former national champion who plays for the national team and has many accolades in his name.
Mbongeni Mabuza is a two-time National Champion who 1st won the tittle in 2018. He is the 2023 National Champion who plays for the National team.
Nosmilo Mkhonto is a decorated chess player who is in the Women’s National team and a former Eswatini Women’s number 1 chess player.
Knowledge Dlamini is one of the younges and best juniors the club has ever produced. At the tender age of 8, he is a decorated youngster with many accolades to his name.
Surprise Ntiwane is one of our best juniors who carries a decorated path to stardom with remarkable victories in his name both online and over the board.
Sanuthi Perera who had been under the tutelage of coach CM Sikhanyiso joined Trojan Horse Chess Club at the beginning of 2023.
Nkosivile Hlanze is the youngest player in the Trojan Chess Hourse Club at age of 7 and she is already showing qualities of a champion.

is a former Enjabulweni Open Junior Champion andd he is one of our best juniors in the club.
